By Hina Anjum: “As we all know that Fawad Khan is extremely busy with his acting career therefore he has requested pardon from EP.”
EP Fans were left heartbroken after the band members announced Khan’s quit on 18 May 2012, on their Official Facebook Page. It’s the news EP Fans didn’t ever wish to hear.
We all know, nothing could have been more depressing for EP Fans than to see the Entity Paradigm losing its front man Fawad Khan. And undoubtedly, no other band had the guts to be as crazy, experimental and unique as Entity Paradigm, and it’s sad that, by disbanding, they had left their fans deprived of their uber-cool work! But to be honest, no matter how heart-breaking news it was for EP Fans, with Fawad’s acting career on the rise, he couldn’t have made a better decision!
FANS, Fawad Afzal Khan always had the potential to start his solo career.
The actor rose to fame after his serials in the Pakistani made waves throughout the country. His serials ‘Humsafar’ and ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ earned him fans from all walks of life. With only one year in ‘B-Town’, Fawad Khan became India’s sensation.
Fawad is the only cross-border actor who rose to limelight in a quick time. He picked up the best film debut-male award, hence becoming the first Pakistani to win this Filmfare award. His popularity had soared after his debut in film Khoobsurat, and earned respect for himself in India. Khan even managed to grab third position in the country’s prestigious Times of India’s 50 Most Desirable Men of 2014.
But during all this time, he didn’t let the love in the hearts of people of Pakistan fade away.
The charismatic actor, our very own heartthrob Fawad Khan was presented with the International Icon award at 3rd annual Hum TV Awards. Khan got emotional while receiving International Icon of The Year Award: “I don’t feel like I deserve to get this award so early on in my career, when there is so much more to learn.”
He added that he has been given immense respect, more so than he has perhaps earned.
He got an award for, well, being Fawad Khan. Jokes apart, the award was for being a great, positive, cultural ambassador for our nation.
Before Fawad Khan walked onto the stage, Hassaan Khalid, one of his close friends, exclaimed the most beautiful lines:
Farishta Numa Hai Yaar Mera, Har Bashar Se Juda Hai Yaar Mera,
Khubsurat Zamane Me Honge Bade, Khubseerat Bada Hai Yaar Mera.
His fever isn’t going to die down one bit, anytime soon! Fawad is officially now a part of two big projects – Sohail Khan’s ‘My Punjabi Nikkah’ and Karan Johar’s ‘Kapoor and Sons’ co-starring Alia Bhatt. And we never know, sometime soon, we might get to see our Khan picking up the mic again. But whatever he may choose, let Mr. Khan know that he’s our favorite and we just can’t resist our urge to love him.
