Let’s check out what Bushra Bilal has to say on Women’s Day!

Bushra Bilal is the granddaughter of a well-known influential scholar the late ‘Khalil Arab’, who believes that her creativity, art of singing and writing was inherited from her grandparents. She has completed double masters in economics. She is associated with professional singing from last 13 years & started her music career in 2005, currently serving at very eminent school as a teacher from last 7 years.

A woman, who is accustomed of performing in front of large crowds & has sung many famous songs and OST’s for the drama serials, believes that ‘she couldn’t have achieved anything without my husband’s support.’

When talking about women’s day, she said:

I’m grateful to Taazi for giving me an opportunity to share my thoughts on this special day.

There are several roles of a woman; the divergent colors of her love can be seen through different relations like loving and caring daughter, an affectionate sister, doting grandmother, a fair weather friend, an unconditional loving mother and yes off course a loyal wife. Life without a woman can be very hard hitting. I would like to praise all the women from different spheres of life who have made sacrifices to enlighten anyone’s life.

International Women’s day gives an opportunity to raise our voice for equality and to eradicate the social constraints faced by a woman. Everyone is capable to play his part and we should help the underprivileged ones which will help to maintain a balance in society. Life is too short to run after worldly riches so instead of being avaricious we should have a constructive approach to alleviate poverty and I believe that our nation is strong enough to face the challenges together.”

Bushra Bilal is not only a phenomenal singer, but also a great human being. In her childhood, she had been providing clothes and food to beggars without informing her parents & has taught few children of maids in my area without charging any fees, which gave her inner satisfaction.

She has also penned few lines being a daughter, for all the daughters out there:

BAITIYAAN SUBKAY MUQADDAR MEY KAHAAN HOTI HAIN,
JO GHUR KHUDA KO PASAND AEY WAHAAN HOTI HAIN,

ROSHNI GHUR MEYN BIKHARTI HAY INHI KAY DUMSAY,
GHUP ANDHEROUN MEYN UJALOUN KA  SABAB HOTI HAIN,

BHAI BEHNOUN  K  LIYE   SUBK LIYE RAAHE NIJAAT,
BAITIYAAN MAAN LO JANNAT KI HAWA HOTI HAIN,

KYA AJUB LOUG HAIN BAITOUN KI DUA KURTAY HAIN,
BAITIYAAN ASL MEYN  QUDRAT KI  ATA HOTI HAIN,

JAANAY KYUN FIKR MEYN REHTAY HAIN  SABHI GHUR WALAY,
YEH TOU REHMAT HAIN NASEEBOUN KA SAMAR HOTI HAIN,

BAITIYAAN SUBKAY MUQADDR MEY KAHAAN HOTI HAIN,
JO GHUR KHUDA KO PASAND AEY WAHAAN HOTI HAIN.

Well, this poem was beautiful!
