Momina Mustehsan makes it personal with Shireen Mazari. And Twitter had the last laugh.

Momina Mustehsan makes it personal with Shireen Mazari. And Twitter had the last laugh.

While Coke Studio 11 started off on a positive note with hits such as “Shikwa/Jawab-e-Shikwa” and the pulsating “Baalkada” featuring transgenders, the season has quickly gone from bad to worse. This week, Coke studio tried to cover another classic “Ko Ko Korina” and Pakistanis were deeply offended.

Even Shireen Mazari jumped in the fray and that’s when things got interesting, to say the least.

Apparently, Momina had had enough and decided to retaliate and called out the minister for using her position to engage in public bashing on a non-political issue:

Even Uncle Ben got a mention:

While Twitteratis rushed for the nearest bag of popcorn, Shireen Mazari stuck to her guns and stated that she had the right to express her personal opinions which have nothing to do with the Ministry.

Monina too was quick to respond back insisting that the Minister of Human Rights should have kept out of it as her tweet only served to encourage cyber bullying:

Ahad Raza Mir too joined in to defend his duet partner:

Twitter was having a ball by now and of course everyone rushed in to share their opinion.

While fights raged on Twitter, the producers wisely choose to remain silent. But of course, no one is safe on Twitter.

Here’s what one Twitterati had do say to the issue?

Whose side are you on? Do let us know.
