By Sarah Ilyas Ehtasham–Reham Khan is geared up to produce a movie with IRK films and Tiger entertainment. The producer of a Pashto film, British Pakistani journalist and wife of famous politician and ex-cricketer Imran khan has join hands with two local filmmakers.
According to social media accounts, the host of famous talk show “In Focus”, Reham Khan is working on two projects. One is a Pashto film based on the life of the famous poet “Khushal Khan Khattak; the other is an Urdu comedy film.
The former BBC journalist posted on a social media website: “Films are the only platform through which one can portray the real image of the society”. She also added that currently three writers are working on the script of the movie, while the director is yet to be finalized. The major goal of this film is to erase all the misconceptions about “Pakhtuns.”
Reham’s second film is a joint venture with the director of the award winning film “Siyaah”. The famous horror thriller film “Siyaah” was based on black magic, directed by Azfar Jafri, written by Osman Khalid Butt and produced by Imran Raza Kazmi. Azfar confirmed to a news channel that he is indeed working on a project with Reham, although details are sketchy. The Urdu project is a light take on serious issues faced by our society.
